Job Description
We are currently recruiting an experienced Director of Food & Beverage for a boutique hotel property in Nashville, TN!
Responsibilities
- Drive organizational excellence in operations and customer service in all revenue centers.
- Oversee performance measurements to ensure the property operates within approved budgets and is competitive in its respective competitive set.
- Produce monthly financial reports to be presented to COO/VP of Restaurants/Area Director of Restaurants.
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Ensure all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
- Maintain professional food and beverage image, including venue cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Ensure positive guest service in all areas or operations. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Complete accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured.
- Hire, develop and train associates to ensure guest satisfaction and company culture.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the food and beverage department and its assets through the enforcing and maintaining of preventative maintenance programs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high volume restaurant operations in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience in banquet & private dining operations
- High School Diploma or higher
- Strong P&L management experience
- Ability to track and effectively manage costs across multiple outlets
- Track record in training and developing managers and staff
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with MS Office Suite
