Preference will be given for the following:
- Prior housekeeping experience.
- Prior groundskeeping experience.
The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE,
- Knowledge of proper groundskeeping procedures and ability to run mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and other small engine equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to do physical labor that requires standing, bending and lifting.
- Housekeeping abilities to include vacuuming, cleaning restrooms and understand proper sanitizing processes.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Valid Driver’s license.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Cutting grass on a 35-acre campus
- Weed eating, edging, spraying weed killer, blowing off concrete surfaces
- Pressure washing, painting and minor campus improvement projects.
- Some housekeeping duties to include trash removal, cleaning of restrooms, dormitories, offices, windows, etc.
- Ensure cleanliness of entire facility.
