Under close supervision receives a course of training and performs beginning housing management work at NYCHA developments and Central Offices.
Under close supervision, the selected candidate will be trained and perform the following tasks:
1. Assist the Housing Assistant in solving problems of tenancy/resident complaints.
2. Assist in the review of income and employment status of residents or housing applicants.
3. Conduct interviews with residents and housing applicants concerning their eligibility as residents of public housing.
4. Assist in preparation of various reports.
5. Work with residents and community groups in various recreational, social and employment programs.

Minimum Qual Requirements
1. Satisfactory completion of an approved one-year in-service training and work program, sponsored by the New York City Housing Authority; or
2.Completion of a course of instruction, conisisting of at least 100 hours, on the principles and practices of real estate management and one (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience assisting in the management of a large scale housing development with significant management responsibilities and functions similar to those described in the duties and responsibilities of this position.

1. Excellent verbal and written Cantonese/Mandarin language skills.
2. Strong interpersonal and organization skills
3. Knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word, and Siebel
4. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
5. Ability to analyze significant amounts of information and identify the most important issues.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully carry out multiple assignments and meet deadlines
