Housing Services Administrative Specialist II

The Washington County Department of Housing is seeking an Administrative Specialist II who will actively use their customer support skills, administrative specialist acumen, and knowledge to help the community members of Washington County by bolstering our work in providing housing stability. We are seeking a superstar candidate who represents and celebrates the rich diversity we have in our community.

Day-to-day activities for this position will vary, but include overseeing daily customer service needs at our office reception desk. The position will work closely with the Rental Assistance Division. Primary administrative responsibilities will include assisting applicants and participants who arrive in person, managing and directing incoming phone calls, and responding to inquiries over email. This is a customer service position, centered in providing support to community members, applicants and participants with resources and completion of housing documents. This position is an essential resource to the community we serve and is required to work in person, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This position does not offer remote work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; AND
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • Possession of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or other applicable certifications may substitute for up to one (1) year of the experience requirement.

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.
