Overview Are you a seasoned Program Manager looking for a new opportunity? Frontgrade may be looking for you! The Space Microelectronics Program Manager (Program Manager V) is responsible for providing program and technical leadership for single board computers and systems design. This person will act as the primary customer contact for program activities and lead program review sessions in coordination with internal team members to discuss cost, schedule, and technical issues. This person will manage multiple projects and drive customer and stakeholder satisfaction by way of delivery within agreed upon quality, time and cost parameters. Responsibilities As part of our dynamic engineering development team, you will design, develop and test sophisticated RF/Microwave Antennas and RF feeds. This will involve: Prioritization – Building priorities for manufacturing lines by soliciting and consolidating inputs from stakeholders Customer Liaising – Coordinating interactions between “Return to Green” customers and operations Delivery Planning – Tracking Execution of Build plan/delivery plans including RMAs Proposal Generation – Assuming a leadership role in proposal submissions assuring on-time delivery of the highest quality proposals Lead Time Optimization – Optimizing lead times to achieve on time delivery targets through the collaborative Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) process Cost Optimization – Initiatinh and contributing to per unit cost reduction initiatives Technical Leadership – Facilitating activities of functional engineering experts, relying on technical training and industry experienceprojects, to include strategic and company objectives consistent with customer and contractual requirements Communication Planning – Developing and implementing effective customer communications plans to provide timely communications, representing the voice of customer, building customer relationships, defining customer objectives, and managing customer satisfaction Subcontract Management – Assuring effective management of subcontracts and execution of the program material plan Risk Management – Assuring regular identification, mitigation planning and review of program risks, both during the program-planning phase and regularly during program execution Opportunity Management – Assuring regular identification, exploitation planning and review of program opportunities, both during the program-planning phase and regularly during program execution On-Time Execution – Controlling the timely start and completion of program tasks to assure fulfillment of program cost and schedule objectives Program Monitoring – Conducting regular reviews of program performance, evaluating the current and projected status against the approved plan Business Development – Managing customer satisfaction to assure a high rate of repeat business Program Governance – Establishing and operating the governance for the program within life-cycle management framework Occasional travel may be required to interface with customers, suppliers, sales offices, etc Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical field 11+ years of experience in Program Management and/or technical environment 2+ years of experience managing Space Microelectronics Hardware development programs Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree 13+ years of experience in Program Management and/or technical environment PMP Certification Agile Development (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.) experience Risk Management Training/Certification Experience managing programs using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Demonstrated success of on-time/on-budget project delivery Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated communication skills and competency with presenting to a wide range of audiences from the Engineering level to the Executive level Experience with government-funded programs Drive, enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to develop program management excellence SALARY $121,000-162,000 per year. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
