What will you do?

PERFORMS DUTIES UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION & REQUIRES CONSIDERABLE KNOWLEDGE OF HUMAN RESOURCES FUNCTIONS & CIVILSERVICE LAWS RULES, POLICIES & PROCEDURES IN ORDER TO PERFORM TOWO OR MORE HUMAN RESOURCE SUB-PROGRAMS FOR ASSIGNED AGENCY, DISTRICT, DIVISION OR INSTITUTION:

Monitors &/or implements Competitive Hiring Process (e.g., supplies information for Examination Announcements; stamps in, reviews & sorts applications; set up testing, screens applicants; sets up interviews; participates in structured interviews, processes recommendations, completes reports, notifies applicants of results, sets up physicals, completes background investigations, completes fingerprints BCI and/or completes, prepares personnel actions) ;processes separating employees & conducts exit interviews; Prepares keys and processes payroll, Tracks and maintains FMLA in AMS, Receives and send OIL/BWC/Disability Claims to Central office for processing. Assists employees and send in Health, Dental/Vision applications/changes. Acts as liaison with Central Office on personnel issues (e.g., provides technical assistance as Facility Designee for Disability Leave Benefits Program, Occupational Injury Leave Program & Worker’s Comp, Transitional Work Program; obtains & provides information to process claims &/or resolve problems; reviews agency policies & procedures to ensure compliance with contracts & personnel rules & regulations (e.g., OIL, Injuries, FMLA, Disability) keeping current of all changes; Communicates with employee/claimants, medical providers & legal representatives ; Assists employees with contract interpretation; Provides copies of approved Personnel Actions to Payroll. Assists with posting & selection process for all bargaining unit & exempt positions exercising independent judgment in gathering & analyzing information & documentation for use by Management in decision making; requests files results & maintains related records; prepares new & updates position descriptions; prepares resignations/retirements/layoffs; Oversees and assists Supervisors and employees with EPerformance evaluations guiding all to meet deadline for bargaining and exempt. Updates staff on all current EPerformance procedures and policies. Performs related administrative duties: represents GDC at personnel &/or training meeting (e.g., Human Resources Conferences); Acts as liaison with Central Office on personnel issues; completes & Prepares & sends advertisements for Personal Service Contracts & maintains recruitment files; reviews & rewrites agency policies & procedures to ensure compliance with contracts & personnel rules & regulations. Prepares related records & reports; enters & verifies data into computer employee data base; types, files, sorts & retrieves information (e.g., lists, reports, letters, labels, correspondence); serves on committees & attends meetings as required; attends workshops & training sessions; responds to correspondence from employees.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.

-Or 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
