HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT SENIOR ANALYST JOB DETAILS:

  • Starting Hourly Pay: $29.49 with multiple pay increases over your first years of service to $42.01per hour.
  • Superior medical coverage starts the 1st of the month following start date

  • OPERS retirement – The employee contributes 10% of their salary towards their retirement. The employer contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee’s salary.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as human resources coordinator for Department of Veterans Services (DVS) Central Office & coordinates advanced &/or non-advanced human resources sub-programs (e.g., coordinates subject matter experts & conducts job analysis for development of Position Specific Minimum Qualifications (PSMQs) &/or assessments & selection instruments
  • Serves as point of contact for class plan proposals by coordinating changes & developing draft classification specifications
  • Coordinates class plan compliance/audits
  • Develops strategic initiatives to manage absenteeism, disability separations & reinstatements to return employees to work timely & in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Formulates & implements human resources program policies such as overtime, employee conduct, and dress code
  • Completes assignments characterized by analysis of materials & application of professional Human Resources (HR) principles in the performance of complex HR assignments
  • Delivers presentations regarding new or revised rules or procedures
  • Responsible for Central Office new employee orientation, personnel actions, recruitment & selection
  • Leads designated projects including creating timelines, deliverables, regular updates on success & challenges.
  • Serve as Central Office Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) coordinator
  • Replies to unemployment claims and workers’ compensation
  • Coordinates, tracks, processes, approves & advises regarding performance evaluations
  • Plans, tracks, monitors & advises regarding employee recognition or employee wellness programs

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 12 mos. exp. in human resources.

-Or 3 yrs. exp. in human resources.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
