NATURE OF WORK:
Performs professional and administrative work primarily in the Employee Benefits Section. Overall duties include administering the new hire benefit election process, preparing benefit orientation materials, processing and entering new hire benefits, assisting employees with benefit election questions and issues, serving as a liaison between members and insurance carriers, responding to inquires in a timely manner, assisting with presenting new hire benefits at orientation, and supporting annual open enrollment needs and other areas of Human Resources, as needed.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Employee Benefits Supervisor and is reviewed for achievement of goals and expectations through discussions, work reviewed, and results obtained.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or public administration or related field required with two years professional human resources generalist experience required preferably in employee benefits administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft business applications, particularly Excel and Word. A valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
