Description of Work
Under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, a Human Resources Analyst performs professional level public personnel work associated with the administration of the Muskegon County Personnel System, collective bargaining agreements and/or Civil Service Rules. An employee in this class may work in one or several areas of human resources activities including job specification development, employee relations, classification studies, labor relations, compliance or grievance administration. A Human Resources Analyst performs related work activities as required.
Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; AND Have a minimum of one (1) year full-time paid personnel or human resources administration work experience in one of the following areas: class and pay administration, FMLA administration, labor relations, or employment law, OR;
Possess an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university; AND Have a minimum of five (5) years full-time paid personnel or human resources administration work experience in one of the following areas: class and pay administration, FMLA administration, labor relations, or employment law; OR
Have a High School diploma or GED; AND Have a minimum of seven (7) years full-time paid personnel or human resources administration work experience in one of the following areas: class and pay administration, FMLA administration, labor relations, or employment law.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification in the County system.
