As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will be one of the main points of contact for employees at Sutter Health Park. Your friendly demeanor will ensure every interaction with candidates, new hires, and returning team members is reflective of the values of Sutter Health Park. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks will give you the ability to handle inquiries, recruitment, record management, and special projects. In your role you will help deliver on our mission to always put the guest first and to be the nation’s leading minor league sports organization, providing a clean, safe, fun, and family-friendly venue!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to employee inquiries via phone and email including the general Human Resources email inbox.
- Assist with recruiting activities including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and attending career fairs and/or career centers and schools.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires including background screenings, I-9 ID Verifications, hiring into Workday, and facilitating orientations.
- Manage personnel records and changes in Workday and keep employee files up to date.
- Manage all required certifications for new hires including Work Permits (employees under the age of 18), ServSafe, alcohol service certification, EMS certifications, and Security Guard Card and/or training certifications.
- Assist with audits including time and labor, work permits, payroll audits, and ID audits.
- Act as the point of contact for the Internship Program including facilitation of events, networking opportunities, mentor meetings, and onboarding/off-boarding.
- Provides administrative support to the Director, Human Resources including managing calendar, coordinating meeting and event logistics, and completion of special projects.
- Assist in planning, facilitating, and execution of employee events and communications.
- Assist with orientation check in, payroll recording, and delivering of training materials.
- Place supply orders as needed, and business cards as needed. Forward all invoices to AP.
- Maintain and update voice messages and auto-reply on emails for holidays and off hours.
- Distribute paychecks semi-monthly on pay days to event staff.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and Publisher. Preferably prior experience with an HRIS system like Workday, UltiPro, ADP, etc.
- Must be available mostly Monday-Friday; rotating evenings and weekends will be required to provide HR coverage for event staff, staff events, job fairs, and trainings.
- Ideal candidates will have a proven ability to problem solve and prioritize projects with conflicting deadlines.
- Ideal candidates should be able to connect with coworkers while remaining professional with an ability to read the room and respond/act accordingly.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a or as a combination of customer service representative, in an administrative support role, relevant internships, and/or hospitality/event roles required.
- Prior Human Resource experience preferred.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP, or at minimum one year experience in a Human Resource support role required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel locally to the post-office, stores, and other offices as needed.
Compensation:
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected annual salary of $40,000-$45,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
