Responsibilities
Serves as advisor and consultant to the Director of Manpower and Personnel (AFOSI/DP) on all aspects of total force recruiting (civilian, officer, and enlisted) for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). Provides direction and advisory services to all Commanders, Directors, and key stakeholders worldwide concerning significant programs and policies pertaining to AFOSI-wide recruiting and retention of AFOSI personnel. Plans, directs, and executes agent recruiting programs to ensure the special agent force is sustained at a level sufficient to maintain the USAF Federal Law Enforcement Officer operational capability.
Daily Duties:
- Collect and assess applicant resumes.
- Process resume evaluation scores.
- Prepare interview documents (questions, scoresheets, etc.).
- Coordinate/schedule interviews with applicants and panel members on electronic/virtual platforms (e.g Zoom).
- Process results of interviews.
- Coordinate pre-employment drug testing.
- Answer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from potential applicants.
- Schedule recruiting events/trips.
- Assist with document production for recruiting events and interviews.
- Prepare referral certificates for approval.
- Correspond with applicants and potential applicants through mail, email, and phone (track receipt of official transcripts and scan and file upon receipt).
- Assist with scheduling suitability investigations and processing results.
- Prepare/review applicant folders when selected to fill a position.
- Provide civilian personnel liaison and recruiting support services to customers.
- Assist HR Specialists with submitting realignments and position reviews through myPers.
- Assist with analysis, evaluation, quality control, and processing of Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs).

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of laws, Executive orders, regulations, policies, concepts, and various HR policies, practices, procedures, and management controls of the civilian recruitment and placement functions.
- Knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of civilian Human Resource Management (HRM) concepts, principles, and practices; local and higher-level HRM procedures; the mission, functions, and programs of assigned organizations; and analytical and evaluative techniques.
- Knowledge necessary to provide guidance to management on all civilian recruitment and placement issues.
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
