Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Initiatives Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and enhancing the employee experience across our organization. This role will align business objectives with HR initiatives and projects, primarily improving employee engagement, feedback, and performance.
Reporting to the Regional Director of Human Resources, this position will work closely with various departments and levels of management to drive positive changes in employee experience. The HR Initiatives Specialist will contribute to the organization’s overall success by creating an environment where employees thrive, are engaged, and reach their full potential.
This role requires managing multiple priorities effectively and heavy administrative and project management volume.
This role regularly deals with diverse matters requiring the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Pulse Surveys
- Develop, implement, and analyze regular pulse surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop action plans based on survey results and drive positive change.
Job Description Management
- Oversee creation, revision, and maintenance of job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Work closely with department heads to gather and update job requirements.
Exit Interviews
- Manage the exit interview process to gather valuable feedback from departing employees.
- Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce turnover.
Goal Setting
- Collaborate with leadership to establish clear and measurable performance goals for employees.
- Ensure that goals are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and support individual growth and development.
- Take responsibility for creating goal-setting forms, sending out communications, and tracking progress to ensure 100% completion using our HRIS system.
Performance Reviews
- Design and implement a comprehensive performance review process that promotes regular feedback, coaching, and development.
- Guide managers on conducting effective performance reviews and addressing performance issues.

Unemployment Responses
- Handle unemployment responses and related matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Maintaining Employee Records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity and security.
New Hire Orientation
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions to welcome and onboard new employees effectively.
Project Implementation
- Take charge of launching and communicating the progress of project implementations related to HR initiatives.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Must have a minimum of three years of experience in HR function.
- Proven experience in HR roles focusing on employee engagement and performance management.
- Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paycom.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools for survey administration and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Proficient computer software and database skills.
- Ability to multi-task, effectively problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and bring forth ideas to enhance positive change.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Travel:
- Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
- Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
