Job mission

To collaborate, liaise and engage with boutique and corporate teams to drive consistency in Human Resource data, processes, and analytics to improve HR strategy and culture.

The HR Manager will play a key role in the recruitment, growth, and development of all retail employees within our boutiques. The HR Manager will work closely with the leadership and human resources team to help develop and implement people strategies to enhance business performance and meet strategic business objectives through organization design, learning and development, performance management, career, and succession planning.This role will visit the boutiques 3-4 times per week. (Please note that this is not a remote role)

Key Responsibilities

This is a key role within the Cartier North America Human Resources team and will be responsible for various responsibilities in support of the team’s goals, including but not limited to:

HR Leadership & Strategy

  • Full HR day to day support, performance, and employee relations management, interviewing prospective candidates, identifying, and sharing insights to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and support in managing key HR processes such as annual compensation process, Talent and Org reviews.
  • Oversees performance management processes, ER & investigations for dedicated client group in partnership with HR Director
  • Conducts new hire check in’s, employee roundtables & exit interviews
  • Effective partnerships with leaders and employees to develop thoughtful people strategies focusing on talent acquisition, talent management and development, career and succession planning, training/ upskilling plans, engagement, recognition and fostering an inclusive culture
  • Provides coaching and guidance to employees on all employment matters.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers & Talent Acquisition in attracting and hiring candidates whose competencies and experience supports the business needs and evolution of the skills & competencies required.
  • Animate data analytics in partnership with HR coordinator to provide regular updates around HR metrics.
  • In partnership with HR Director, implements new programs and initiatives that will continue to develop employees and contribute positively to the culture and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with key partners in Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits & Legal to ensure key HR deliverables are met
  • Partner closely with COEs to improve HR Efficiencies and ways of working. Identifies key opportunities and develops solutions for improvements within the region
  • Collaborates with key leaders from the business in the implementation of employee events and awards
  • Conducts regular in boutique visits onsite weekly to partner with employees at all levels across the region to gain and incorporate insights into training, career-pathing, and development initiatives. Overnight travel as needed throughout the region for boutique visits and company meetings
  • With strong collaboration amongst full Commercial HR team, provide ongoing region insights to help inform our holistic HR Commercial priorities roadmap and people planning.
  • Managing key HR processes such as annual compensation process, Talent and Org reviews.
  • Key lead on Talent review process in facilitating meetings, adding input based on knowledge of employee and business, and compiling and putting together presentations for review with Executive team
  • Proactive in sharing insights to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness

HR administrative support

Oversee People Data Maintenance:

  • Oversee and manage the request process for all HR employee data changes to include but not limited to role changes, promotions, demotions, pay updates, transfers and reporting changes
  • Ensure all data transactions are completed with high level of accuracy and timeliness
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR coordinator on open position and headcount requisition management
  • Ensure updates to temporary or consultant agreements are maintained
  • New hire onboarding/offboarding support; partner with IT on needs for all systems access needs
  • Oversee Upkeep and creation of Org Charts and boutique data in HRIS

HR Compliance

  • Provides regular training and updates on compliance regulations and policies
  • Source, create and analyze boutique data and identify trends to create and implement talent strategies and compliance training
  • Proactively identify and correct errors related to talent data in various platforms
  • Support all data collection for Employee Visa and Immigration Processes
  • Ensure data transactions are compliant with city/county/state requirements by location
  • Partnership with legal partners to provide support and data requests as needed

Special Projects:

  • Liaise with Corp HR and HR coordinator for reporting: pulling and organizing: Adhoc report requests to provide data for strategic HR projects
  • Provides administrative support to various events to include local and N.A. events
  • Develop, Lead and implement strategic HR initiatives
  • Innovates, creates and leads local engagement initiatives in the region

Qualifications:

  • College degree in a related area, MBA or master’s preferred
  • HR Certification preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with skills in high volume employee relations, talent management, recruiting, and performance management
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in identifying needs, developing action plans and executing deliverables and proactively presenting outcomes and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of US and California state/city employment laws
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization, influencing and relationship-building across functions.
  • Experience coaching mid or senior-level leaders to improve leadership performance. Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; positive team player
  • Effective follow through and strong communication skills across all teams and partners. Works well independently and in a group setting, demonstrates high levels of integrity and accuracy
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) experience with SAP preferred
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement and personal accountability
  • Ability to analyze data and identify key themes and trends
  • Ability to prioritize, pivot and multi-task in fast paced environment, Retail experience a “plus”
