JOB TITLE: Human Resource Specialist – Recruiter
JOB GOAL: To contribute to the effective operations of the Human Resources Office and to staff morale by the prompt and accurate handling of personnel matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, minimum.
- Associates Degree and two years’ work experience in Human Resources preferred
- Ability to communicate orally and written as related to the job function
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from applicants, district personnel of all levels and general public
- School district experience preferred
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with accurate attention to detail while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
- Maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, and conferences
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visions, and/or developing and working with employment databases
- Ability to promote excellent customer service
- Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 days (12 Months)
COMPENSATION: $22.63 – $26.70
BENEFITS: As per District policy
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
HOURS: 40 hours per week
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
- Assist in organizing and attending job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
- Manage job postings and ensure accuracy on each post
- Assists candidates and employees with use of the applicant tracking software
- Process a variety of Personnel Action Request (PAR) forms.
- Respond to inquiries from district personnel concerning policies and procedures
- Assist in conducting new employee orientation including employment processing
- Support assigned Administrator for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions
- Assist Human Resource Director in the preparation of correspondence and reports
- Create job descriptions and recommend salary placement to Director of Human Resources for newly created positions and assist in updating current job descriptions
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
