JOB TITLE: Human Resource Specialist – Recruiter

JOB GOAL: To contribute to the effective operations of the Human Resources Office and to staff morale by the prompt and accurate handling of personnel matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED, minimum.
  2. Associates Degree and two years’ work experience in Human Resources preferred
  3. Ability to communicate orally and written as related to the job function
  4. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from applicants, district personnel of all levels and general public
  5. School district experience preferred
  6. Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with accurate attention to detail while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
  7. Maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, and conferences
  8. Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visions, and/or developing and working with employment databases
  9. Ability to promote excellent customer service
  10. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 days (12 Months)
COMPENSATION: $22.63 – $26.70
BENEFITS: As per District policy
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
HOURS: 40 hours per week
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  2. Assist in organizing and attending job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
  3. Manage job postings and ensure accuracy on each post
  4. Assists candidates and employees with use of the applicant tracking software
  5. Process a variety of Personnel Action Request (PAR) forms.
  6. Respond to inquiries from district personnel concerning policies and procedures
  7. Assist in conducting new employee orientation including employment processing
  8. Support assigned Administrator for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions
  9. Assist Human Resource Director in the preparation of correspondence and reports
  10. Create job descriptions and recommend salary placement to Director of Human Resources for newly created positions and assist in updating current job descriptions
  11. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
