Job Preview :

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced customer service professional. A Customer Service Assistant 3 responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Train staff
  • Respond to SharePoint Inquiries and emails
  • Perform Quality Assurance protocols
  • Process complex provider type applications that that may include coordination with other business units
  • Operate in a call center environment; respond to inquiries from Ohio Medicaid applicants, credentialists, and other stakeholders
  • Screen applications for individuals, groups and organizations
    • Screening will include, but is not limited to: verifying licensure, ensuring that the applicant(s) is not sanctioned and ensuring the accuracy of the information documented on the Ohio Medicaid Application
  • Prepare & maintain production reports
  • Participate in training for user acceptance testing and preparing data clean-up activities in preparation for the new Provider Network Management (PNM) module.
  • Assist with conversion efforts/project/data clean-up for the new Provider Network Management module (PNM)
  • Participate in training sessions for the new PNM system

Qualifications
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures of which 3 mos. involved operation of various office equipment; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state &/or federal laws, rules, policies & procedures applicable to assigned inquiries, requests, complaints &/or transactions to be processed; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry, or word processing; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.
