Job Overview :

The O hio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is recruiting for a healthcare professional with significant experience to manage and direct the Managed Care Compliance & Oversight section within the Office of Managed Care. As the Managed Care Contract Compliance & Oversight Section Chief , your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of staff responsible for an array of program functions including work and professional development goals
  • Developing standards for the oversight of Medicaid Managed Care
  • Building implementation strategies for the State’s monitoring of Managed Care Entity (MCE) compliance with State standards
  • Leading meetings and presentations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Representing the agency in workgroups
  • Drafting, reviewing, and interpreting rules and statutes offering written feedback and recommendations
  • Serving as liaison to other program areas and teams within ODM and the MCEs
  • Building program and organizational strategy to improve operations and member outcomes

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 36 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).

-Or 12 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 2, 65296.
