Job Overview :

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is recruiting for an administrator to oversee the Performance Improvement Unit within the Office of Health Innovation & Quality.

As the Performance Improvement Administrator , your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing one unit which is responsible for working with Medicaid’s Managed Care Entities (MCEs) to support the Next Generation of managed care programs by using a population-based health approach to achieve the goals of ODM’s Quality Strategy
  • Focusing on improving outcomes for ODM’s population streams (i.e., healthy adults and children, behavioral health, women’s health, infant mortality, chronic conditions, and older adults using proven methods)
  • Developing strategies to work with MCEs utilizing quality improvement science to improve MCE performance
  • Directing the development of data-driven improvement in conjunction with MCEs from a quality of care perspective, coordinating with other ODM bureaus and sections, as well as across State agencies and external entities
  • Supervising one unit of programmatic management staff

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 months of experience in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).

-Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
