What You’ll Do:

On behalf of the Executive Director and Director of Policy and Communications, administers the Board’s rule review program (e.g., coordinates the submission of administrative rules to the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review; provides scheduling assistance for the Board’s Ad-Hoc Rules Review Committee; coordinates the Board’s Home Medical Advisory Committee; assists in the administration of other Board committees; drafts agency submissions to the Common-Sense Initiative; coordinates all public rules hearings and files all public hearing reports; provides information on Board programs and policies to private organizations, government officials, licensees, and the general public; ensures consistent agency-wide messaging and consistent branding.

Drafts press releases, agency reports, articles for professional publications, correspondence, and guidance documents; compiles quarterly and monthly newsletters; reviews all external communications to licensees; relays information to partners and Board staff using e-mail distribution lists; and coordinates special projects with external stakeholders and the general public.

Serves as an information resource and responds to constituent inquiries from state and federal legislators; tracks state and federal legislation impacting the Board; and drafts talking points and committee testimony for the Executive Director.

Hybrid Telework:

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
