Primary Responsibilities
Candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to work under the direction of multiple project engineers to apply various design, engineering and modeling techniques in the development of transportation and water resource projects for local municipalities, state and federal client
Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger project
Site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation. Prepare civil design drawings with BIM/CADD platforms for construction documents.
Hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations and calculation
Preparing Drainage map
Stormwater management facility design calculations and modeling
Preparing Construction/Contract Plans, specifications, and cost estimate
Performing flooding complaint investigation
Assist with writing reports and technical memo
Drainage design permitting support
Water quality assessments and calculation
Floodplain impacts and compensation calculation
Bridge Hydraulic and scour evaluations and calculation
Prepare cost opinions and write technical documents.
Support construction phase implementation of infrastructure

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Transportation, or Structural Engineering, or a related field
EIT or the ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will be called a Civil Coordinator and will be expected to obtain EIT for career progression
MicroStation/AutoCAD required. Civil 3D, StormCAD, Open Roads Designer experience preferred.
Adaptable to conditions including fast-paced and deadline driven work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skill
Self-motivated to complete tasks and learn new skill
Ability to use MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work in the office to allow for collaboration
Preferred
Applicable experience performing drainage design for highway/roadway projects, preparing plans and specifications, and permitting experience

Typical starting pay range for this position:
• California will be $69,841.00 – $94,559.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
• Colorado will be $60,775.00 – $90,448.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
• Washington will be $47,548.00 – $82,225.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
