The Opportunity

The Hardware Engineer position is within the I&C Products organization in the I&C Business Unit which is responsible for modernizing instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants. This opportunity is located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

What You’ll Do at Framatome

You will be primarily responsible for PCB Design and testing Typical assignments include:

  • Module design and qualification, including
    • Requirements management
    • Board Schematics and layout
    • Equivalency analysis for component replacement
  • Test Procedure development and execution
  • Configuration Management
  • Cross collaboration with other Framatome I&C Organizations

Required Experience

What You’ve Accomplished

You have completed a BS in Electrical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in a engineering role for at least 2 years of engineering experience and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Ofice Suite (Word, Escel, Visio, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with PCB schematic and layout
  • Experience developing and executing test procedures
  • Proficiency with reading, understanding, and creating electrical system drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to utilize laboratory equipment such as Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, and Logic Analyzers
  • Classroom/Lab experience involving software and hardware integration
  • Experience with 2D CAD or 3D modelling software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium)

Our total rewards package

The range of base salary for the position is between $70,000 – $92,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
