The Opportunity
The I&C Hardware Designer position is for our Mansfield, Massachusetts office within the Project Engineering organization in the I&C Unit. In this role you will be part of a team of engineers responsible for a broad range of activities including designing, implementing, and testing control system solutions for our nuclear customers in existing and new plant applications.
What You’ll Do at Framatome
In this position you can expect to:
- Design mechanical assemblies and components using SolidWorks
- Apply revision control using SmarTeam
- Create drawings in Solidworks for the assemblies and components including bill of materials.
- Perform electrical design related to the cabinet assemblies
- Develop power wiring drawings for components and assemblies
- Develop signal wiring drawings for control system
- Draft network connection drawings
- Support selection of components required for the design
- Support design reviews of mechanical assembly drawings
Who You Are
You are a Hardware Designer that is looking for an exciting opportunity to work in the nuclear industry in the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. You display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships. You have good attention to details and good written and oral communication skills. Your actions, behaviors, and decisions are made in a manner consistent with Framatome’s Core Values.
What You’ve Accomplished
You have a High School degree with at least 8 plus years experience in the field or in a related area or a 2 year technical degree plus 6 years of related work experience in the field or in a related area.

Our total rewards package
The range of base salary for the position is between $35 – $45 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
