Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Inbound Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the receiving and put-away of all inbound shipments delivered to their location. They will manage a team of unloaders (lumpers), receiving clerks and material handlers to ensure shipments are unloaded, sorted, and received in a timely manner. They will monitor various reports to see what is scheduled for delivery and plan their day accordingly to prioritize hot shipments. An end of day review will be performed to ensure all product that was physically delivered has been correctly received and moved off the dock and into the appropriate bins.

  • Oversee all unloading and receiving operations.
  • Coordinate with the traffic team to schedule delivery of full truck loads and containers.
  • Perform C-TPAT check of containers to ensure no damage is present at time of unloading.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team to receive and put-away all apparel shipments.
  • Verify all styles, sizes and quantities received are correct based on the vendors packing list.
  • Generate and print Pallet ID’s.
  • Spot Check Pallet IDs to ensure compatibility with RF scanners.
  • Ensure all pallets are properly labelled with Pallet ID’s prior to put-away.
  • Complete the Receiving Manifest for all inbound shipments and distribute to appropriate parties.
  • Monitor the “Receiving Dock” report in NetSuite to confirm all inventory is off the dock and in a storage bin.
  • Notify purchasing of any shortage/overage so inventory can be properly adjusted.
  • Determine proper storage locations for all inventory received and task warehouse personnel with put-away.
  • Assist the warehouse supervisor in picking, staging, and loading outbound transfers to other locations.
  • Based on workload, manage and request approval of overtime as needed for the assigned team with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Lead, direct, build and maintain morale within the assigned team as well as assist in training new employees.
  • Work with supervisors, management, and warehouse personnel to continually develop operational improvements and training modifications as needed.
  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Director on other tasks as needed, not limited to the above.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure clarity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel. Access highly desirable.
  • Ability to work within warehouse information management and enterprise systems.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills; demonstrated ability to develop and apply formulas.
  • Creative thinking skills, ability to think outside the box.
  • Self-starter who takes direction well and works independently, initiating projects and ideas
  • Team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • In depth problem solving and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be flexible to change and have a good attitude to try something new.
  • Must have intensity and a drive to get the work done.

• Years of experience in a similar position with a long record of documentable track record of success with similar objectives to this position.
• Deep understanding of inventory management, sales projections, supply chain and logistics.
