The Database Administrator, Senior position plans computerized databases, including database definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection.
The position is a hybrid based role. We do require the selected candidate to work in our Lincolnshire, IL office, approximately 3 days/week.
Responsibilities:
Overview:
Install Oracle Software, Create, Maintain and Support Oracle Applications and Databases as directed by the Sr. DBA. Provide DBA support for Oracle e-Business suite and Siebel related project. Ensure regular operation and availability of databases and applications as implemented to support Zebra’s business tools. Perform Backup and Recovery as required. Identify and resolve specific problems in the use and performance of systems. This position may be required to provide off hour support.
Responsibilities:
- Install, Create and optimize Oracle Applications Database.
- Administer Oracle Applications and other Oracle database based applications that supports Zebra’s business as directed by Sr. DBA.
- Resolve day to day application operation issues and problems by self or software vendor support.
- Works in accordance with the change control procedures and ensures compliance of change control and any other Information System’s procedure or work instruction that ensures compliance to Information System’s policy and ISO.
- Perform critical Patch management, Customization and Configuration management and administrations of all Oracle e-business suite application and databases as directed by the team lead / Sr. DBA.
- Provide emergency after hours support for mission critical applications as required. Perform upgrades / maintenance after hours as required.
- Participates in technical team meetings and provide updates to the world wide team as needed.
- Administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources.
- Exposure to Oracle product line troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Installation of WebLogic environments, Oracle RDBMS 19c with ASM and configuration.
- Experience in analytical, problem-solving and learning skills and understand new technologies as well as a keen interest in the emerging technologies.
- Experience in PL/SQL and Unix Shell scripting, preferred.
- Cloud admin exposure, desirable.
- Provides regular status reporting (verbal and written).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Good documentation skill is required to document necessary operational documents.
- Reviews accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries
- Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls
- Formulates initial and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management
- Identifies and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system
- Internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions
- Collaborates with the team regarding company-wide, web-enabled solutions
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science required
- 5+ years of Oracle Apps DBA experience required
- Exposure in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure administration, and Fusion Application.
- Exposure in Middleware technologies.
- Experience with Oracle e-business suite application and databases
Preferred Qualification
- Siebel Technical / DBA experience preferred.
- Advance Degree preferred
- Experience with end user issues
- Demonstrated technical experience
- Shown experience working independently and multi-functionally on projects
- Demonstrated experience trouble-shooting
- Broad knowledge of applicable IT systems/applications
- Experience developing new systems and tools
- Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date system procedures
- Advanced analytical skills
- Shown Project Management skills
- Shown ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high growth, rapid changing environment
- Experience identifying and implement process improvements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: USD 89900.00 – USD 134900.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
