General Statement of Duties
The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking to hire a highly motivated Income Maintenance Caseworker III – Training and Compliance. This position is part of the Quality Assurance and Training Program. The selected candidate will train, mentor employees, or provide quality assurance in the Family and Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, Work First Family Assistance, Daycare, Energy, and Food and Nutrition Service Programs.

This position is also responsible for completing 2nd party reviews on the said program areas. This position is responsible for working with considerable independence in developing and delivering training in all programs within designed parameters. Work at this level requires interpreting policy and developing training modules for all eligibility programs and agency error trends.

Distinguishing Features
This position is responsible for mentoring and coaching new employees and tracking their progress throughout the training process. Work requires the employee to be the subject matter expert for programs in Economic Services and have a working relationship with the different divisions within the agency to ensure a concise and uniform message regarding training. This position is responsible for working with all Family and Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, WFFA, Daycare, and Food and Nutrition new hires and long-standing employees, developing training plans specific to the employee and agency needs. In this position, the individual may have to lift and stand for long periods when facilitating training

This position must have extensive knowledge of utilizing the NCFAST computer systems associated with the Family and Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, WFFA, Daycare and Food, and Nutrition Service Programs and have in-depth knowledge of the program’s policies. Work involves staying abreast with changing regulations, rules, and procedures for each program and being equally adept in NCFAST and Document Management Training in Support of Eligibility Determinations. To assist in developing and primary coordinating and delivering training to a broad audience of Income Maintenance Caseworkers, Leads, and Supervisors, in the Economic Services Division. This position will develop a wide range of training materials that the Training Unit Supervisor will use.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for these positions.
Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED and two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or closely related experience. A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.

The candidates selected for these positions will need to be able to attend state and local trainings in regards to program requirements.

Knowledge of NCFAST is preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, mathematical and analytical skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft software and be familiar with the computer systems associated with Family & Children’s Medicaid.
