Industrial HVAC/R Technician, 3rd Shift – $5,000 Retention Bonus

Position Summary

As an Industrial HVAC/R Technician, you’ll be responsible for the service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, and utilities systems. You’ll also participate in the Process Safety Management program and be a member of the factory Emergency Response team and HAZWOPER team. In this role, you’ll also handle:

  • Maintaining equipment logs and reports utilizing computerized maintenance systems
  • Drive-in coolers/freezers
  • Process Glycol chillers, boilers, and heat exchange
  • Steam boilers and chemistry control
  • Water systems and chemistry control: Reverse Osmosis System, softeners, filters
  • Compressed Air Systems, Air Units, and Hydraulics Systems

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience or education in HVAC/R or related field preferred
  • RETA-CARO certification preferred (if none, we will provide course support for exam and certification)
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently and work from heights
  • Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills

The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

  • Understand documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write routine repots and correspondence
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow teammates
  • Abide by all plant rules/policies including safety, GMP regulations and perform good housekeeping practices
