Snelling Staffing has several Industrial Paint Technician positions available at our Automotive/Aerospace client located in Macomb County. $23-25/hour, based on experience. 1st shift available
The Industrial Paint Technicians will work in the Paint Department with a team to complete a wide variety of products within the automotive, aerospace and defense line of work. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing/industrial paint.
Industrial Paint Technician Responsibilities:
- Sand tint nubs and imperfections from coatings or paint on a wide variety of products.
- Clean equipment and work areas.
- Mask areas for paint with proper tape/ paper.
- Sand and apply sealer to properly dried finish.
- Buff or polish using hand tools or power tools.
- Mount attachments or tools onto production equipment.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Apply protective or finishes to work pieces or products.
- Conduct safety checks and preventative measurements to ensure safety and good working conditions are maintained.
- Ensures the quality and characteristics of materials or products are to specifications or standards.
- Operate painting or coating equipment.
- Remove materials, parts, or work pieces from painting or coating machines, using hand tools.
- Wipe parts down with final micro fiber inspector.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Industrial Paint Technician Skills and Qualification:
- At least one year experience industrial painting in the areas of automotive or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in repairing or setting up machines.
- Experience in production paint tools and machinery and parts manufacturing.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. ? Attention to detail.
