Industrial Water Project Manager

Detailed Description:

The Industrial Water (IW) Project Manager (PM) position is responsible for managing industrial water projects, providing solutions for complex issues, utility management, business development, capital planning, and construction phase efforts. The PM will apply best technical, project management, and client services practices through the strategic vision, persuasive leadership, coordination with multiple groups within BC, and application of necessary directive efforts. The PM is an engaged and action-oriented position who will make decisions based on significant expertise and experience in the subject matter, instinct, and in coordination with the service line and business group leadership. The PM will develop and implement project delivery strategies and tactics for the IW Service Line, in collaboration with IW Service Line, PSE, Design Services and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) leaders.

The ideal candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, and be capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.

Job Expectations:

  • Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget and negotiate agreements
  • Facilitate multiple, concurrent large and small project delivery and execution (including managing sub-consultants) on time, on budget, and with the expected level of quality
  • Interact with clients, other project managers, discipline leaders, and assigned staff to confirm work is progressing per schedule and budget and that the work is being developed to the appropriate level of completeness and quality
  • Engage and cultivate effective project teams to support understanding and delivering on client needs and expectations
  • Simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences and prepare and present quick-pointed summaries for executives, clients, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate and lead change management and risk management for large projects or programs.
  • Coordinate quality reviews for planning, engineering, administrative, and construction tasks
  • Manage permitting and project documentation

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BS in science or engineering required. MS in engineering and/or MBA preferred
  • PE license preferred
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in project management.
  • Highly level of proficiency in project management and project delivery.
  • Previous project scheduling and work planning experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Strategic, open-minded thinker – Ability to think beyond standard Brown and Caldwell boundaries and assumptions, tireless in getting additional information to develop possible strategies.
  • Can-do approach – Pragmatic and enthusiastic.
  • Demonstrated team player and builder.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Candidate must be willing and able to travel for short-term assignments.
  • Capable of understanding and applying technologies commonly used in the Industrial Water service line.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less, depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $91,000 – $124,000
