Job Description
Vericast is looking to add an Information Security Operations Associate Analyst to their team! The Information Security Operations Associate Analyst is accountable to the Manager Information Security Operations and responsible for information security related analysis. They will assist with information security operations and technology projects with operational impact to all business segments across the Vericast enterprise. Additionally, they will work to identify and analyze threats and vulnerabilities to Vericast and its subsidiaries maintaining reliable up-to-date information across the industry regarding information security operations including new and existing threats vulnerabilities and incorporates those facts and findings into an actionable deliverables.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Managers of the GST in development, deployment, implementation, and tactical support relating to information security operational processes and procedures.
- Assists with research for reliable, up-to-date, information across the industry regarding information security operations including new and existing threats, vulnerabilities, policies and standards.
- Delivers appropriate documentation that reflects the output from the analysis conducted.
- Accountable for meeting assigned service level metrics.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Protection, Computer/Data Systems Management or a related field or discipline is preferred (Preferred)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
- 1 – 3 years of combined experience in information security information technology and related services and management is desired
- Technical skills in vulnerability assessment networking operating systems incident response methodology and ability to contribute to data for Executive level summaries are desired
- It is generally desirable for a person in this position to possess technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA CySA+ or other related industry certifications
- Should have the ability to effectively interface with fellow employees of the Corporation
- Working technical knowledge and experience in information technology computing systems network technology security operations security technology and the application of information security concepts
- Strong customer service teamwork and communications skills
- Programming skills desired
- Able to work with different teams bringing teams together to form solutions facilitating meetings and discussions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to plan coordinate and work effectively in a team environment with a diverse group of resources from both the technical and business staff

Position requires verbal and written communication skills on a daily basis with employees assigned at all levels of the Corporation across multiple business segments. OTHER
This is a security sensitive position. Employee will have access to and/or manage data and other information of a critical and sensitive nature relative to Harland Clarke Holdings and its business segments partner organizations and/or its clients. Accordingly the risk associated with the functions of this position requires a more intensive background review. Supervisory Responsibilities: Position requires no supervisory experience.
Additional Information
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
