Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior-Level Information Battle Space Awareness (IEBA) Studies Analyst to support a large DoD program. This position is located at Quantico, VA.
- The Information Battle Space Awareness Studies Analyst is expected to provide expert studies on Information Environment Battlespace Awareness (IEBA) and other information environment tools.
- IEBA Studies Analyst shall research technical solutions to define information environment baselines and identify adversary ML/MD COAs and disinformation narratives directed towards Marine Corps Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs).
- The IEBA Studies Analyst will explore what technical solutions are available and what resources can be brought to bear to better inform commander’s attempts to create or exploit information advantages.
- The IEBA Studies Analyst will assist in developing and producing a service enterprise compendium of the tools (and capabilities, in the absence of existing tools) required to gain and maintain “battlespace awareness” of the IE at the operational level (i.e., MARFOR) with applicability at the tactical level (i.e., MEF and below levels).
- These tools and capabilities should be compliant with the CJCS program of record, Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE), and available on NIPR, SIPR and JWICS systems.
- These tools/capabilities are required to support Title 10 and Title 50 functions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide support of initial assessment of new technologies which may provide an advantage in various mission areas.
- Assist with the assessment of emergent capabilities that may enhance Marines’ awareness of the information environment battlespace.
- Assist with the development of assessment findings and briefing materials
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years total work experience, master’s degree level plus 7 years’ work experience in Information Battle Space Awareness (IEBA) studies and systems at the service or joint level, or 12 years total work experience in IEBA systems
- Former military officer, warrant officer or NCO, training instructor or other related role in direct support of Operations in the Information Environment.
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages.
- Knowledgeable with DODD 3115.18, DoD Access to and Use of Publicly Available Information (PAI) and MCDP 8 Information.
- Experience researching technical solutions to define IE baselines, able to apply criteria to create service enterprise compendium of the tools and capabilities required to gain and maintain IE “battlespace awareness”.
- Experience interfacing with the DoD Innovation Ecosystem to enable the IWF and identify promising tools and capabilities to assist commanders define IE baselines and to create or exploit information advantages.
- TS/SCI DoD Security clearance required; US Citizenship required.

- Information Environment Advanced Analysis Course (Desired); JIOPC graduate
- Familiarity with: DoDD 3600.01 Information Operations (Required); JP 3-04 Information in Joint Operations
- Marine Corps Order, MCO 3120.10A, Marine Corps Information Operations Program (MCIOP)
- Joint Marine Corps Order, MCO 3100.X, Signature Management (SIGMAN)
- Experience with DoD innovation opportunities for experimentation with tools and technologies (e.g., Warfighting Lab Incentive Fund, Small Business Innovation Research process, and Service and Joint Rapid Reaction Technology Offices); conceptual establishment of a Defense Information Advantage Laboratory (DIAL) by working with Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC LANT), the Army Threat Systems Management Office, the University of Maryland Applied Research Lab for Intelligence and Security (UMD ARLIS), the Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate (IWTSD), and other key stakeholders.
- Experience in Marine Corps information warfighting function (IWF) including understanding the associated seven functions/tasks; familiar with MCWL and able to provide DOTMLPF-P expertise and recommendations regarding tool and capability assessments to identify potential impact of adopting assessed tools or capabilities.
- Expertise in identifying tools and resources to acquire and bring tools and capabilities to bear for commanders; ability to assess new technologies which may provide advantage in seven functions/tasks.
- Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations, as well as developing support for information related capabilities and their activities. Be familiar with:
- Military Information Support Operations (MISO) / (formerly Psychological Operations (PSYOP))
- Military Deception (MILDEC)Operations Security (OPSEC)
- Tactical Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Cyberspace Operations
- SIGINT related activities

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
