Make your mark in public service. As an accredited public health department, we’re seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Information Security Analyst 2within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) in Atlanta, G.A.

Reporting directly to the Information Security Officer, the ideal candidate will work with various teams within and outside of IT to conduct inventory audits of IT assets, review bills coming through the GETS (Georgia Enterprise Technology Services) contract, analyze and report on consumption growth, validate billing accuracy and manage billing disputes. Additional duties include IT consumption budget forecasting, reporting, reconciling, potential cost savings. The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews and provides improvements to existing policies, risk, and security strategies related to information security management.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of information security programs relating to risk mitigation, security awareness and education, incident response, network and computer forensics, policy development, risk assessment, vulnerability scanning, trend analysis, certification and accreditation.
  • Reviews and provides improvements to existing policies, risk, and security strategies related to information security management.
  • Provides guidance to project teams to help them comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations and best practices.
  • Reconcile IT billing and meet regularly with program managers for detailed reviews and validations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of all billing components checking for accuracy and cost savings opportunities.
  • Promptly respond to requests for information and reports.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage computer and phone inventory. Work with IT staff, end users and vendors for entire equipment lifecycle.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Submit tickets for billing, inventory changes and surplus.
  • Track tickets and manage to completion.
  • Using scanning tools and reports, Identifies and communicates vulnerabilities and Risks. Creates remediation plan and follows to completion.
  • Manage, report and document security incidents.
  • Conducts in-depth research and analysis on current threats and network vulnerabilities.
  • Manage Security Awareness Training.
  • Asset manager for end user devices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information assurance, or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of information technology experience, One year of which in information security or information assurance.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with GETS ticketing, financial and asset management systems.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends and make data driven decisions.
  • Familiar with technical terminology.
  • Experience working within other State agencies.
  • Audit experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, high level of motivation, decisiveness, and flexibility.
  • Must be highly organized, with effective prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, purchasing, operations and finance.
  • Ability to communicate inventory status, forecasts, and potential issues to management.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • A mindset focused on process improvement.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheet O365 to analyze data and create reports.
