InfoSec Specialist Needed!

The Information Security Specialist is an experienced-level technology-oriented position protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and data of employees, clubs, partners, and members.
What Will You Be Doing?

  • Safeguards information system assets and data by identifying and solving potential and actual security risks and supporting the research of security controls, vulnerabilities, enterprise and cloud risks, and the development of effective strategies and control measures to mitigate all security risks.
  • Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations, and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
  • Reduces security threats by examining infrastructure, devices, processes, procedures and security flaws, threat vectors, and using control analysis to follow up with a prompt solution.
  • Elevate information security posture by partnering with IT and business to meet company security polices, security technology quality standards and IT compliance.
  • Receives direction, makes recommendations, and executes processes within all activities within the security Incident response lifecycle. These activities include; detection, triage, analysis, containment, recovery, and reporting.
  • Research information security trends, standards, and practices to assist in identifying areas that lack the appropriate security controls and make the necessary recommendations.
  • Supports the development of techniques and procedures for conducting cyber security risk assessments and compliance audits, vulnerability and patch management, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware, and software for possible impact on system security.
  • Reviews security assessments to compare previous and current risk performance.
  • Advance knowledge of security technology across all platforms and across all business units to include operating systems, cloud services, Email gateway, privileged access management, networking, applications, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability management, database security and endpoint security.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ IT experience, with at least three (3) years’ security experience or Master of Information Security and Three (3) years’ IT experience with at least one (1) year security experience.
  • One (1) or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, AWS, Microsoft, Linux, or equivalent certifications
  • Direct experience in at least five (5) of the following areas: Operating Systems, Cloud Technologies, Directory Services, O365, Email Security, Endpoint Security, Networking technologies, IPS, Firewalls, ATP Systems, Risk Management, Vulnerability Management, Splunk, SIEM, and Web Security Gateways.
  • Experience with frameworks; NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37 or ISO 27001
  • Direct experience administering security protocols with the following regulations: PCI-DSS, CCPA or GDPR.

This is a full-time sitting in Heathrow, Florida. It can be hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days offsite).
The payrate is between $38.00 and $43.00/hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
