Information Systems Analyst I:

$30.28 – $36.81 Hourly / $2,422.40 – $2,944.80 Biweekly / $62,982.40 – $76,564.80 Annually

Information Systems Analyst II:

$33.43 – $40.63 Hourly / $2,674.40 – $3,250.40 Biweekly / $69,534.40 – $84,510.40 Annually

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The primary function of an Information Systems Analyst is to provide advanced computerized information system support and training for users of computer systems. Support for department staff includes: assistance with automated systems, monitoring systems and addressing issues as they arise.

Examples of Duties
AS AN INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Oversee and coordinate the planning, development and use of the department’s information systems and services, including enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and networks. Monitor and detect abnormalities. Analyze, identify and correct technical problems and deficiencies. Participate in developing, implementing, and coordinating operating policies and procedures related to the department’s automated systems.

Education, Experience & Licenses
Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade

Information Systems Analyst I:

Pattern 1:Equivalent to an associate’s degree or completion of an approved certificate program in computer science, information systems technology, management information systems or a related field.
AND
One (1) year of full-time experience in the Interagency Merit System performing duties of an Information Systems Technician; OR One (1) year of full-time experience analyzing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network devices, which includes working with various operating structures and database structures. (Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
OR
Pattern 2:One (1) year of full-time experience in the design, oversight, coordination and operation of a department’s automation system; which includes, depending upon the option recruited for professional experience in network/server administration or application development.

Information Systems Analyst II:

Pattern 1: One (1) year of full-time experience in the Interagency Merit System performing duties comparable to Information Systems Analyst I.

OR

Pattern 2: Two (2) years of full-time experience in the design, oversight, coordination and operation of a department’s automation system; which includes, depending upon the option recruited for, professional experience in network/server administration or application development (Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree or completion of an approved certificate program in computer science, information systems technology, management information systems or a related field may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience).
