Position Overview
Under general direction of the Eligibility Support Unit Supervisor, performs difficult and specialized professional applications programming; develops logic to produce specific tasks using the various IES (Integrated Eligibility Systems) Eligibility Support Unit DB2 data structures; completes program specifications and system documentation; coordinates the timely completion of requests. Provides technical assistance to lower-level professional staff. Travels in the performance of duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs difficult and specialized professional applications programming.
- Develops logic to produce specific tasks using the various IES (Integrated Eligibility Systems) Eligibility Support Unit DB2 data structures Completes program specifications and system documentation.
- Interviews system users to determine technical needs or desires.
- Provides technical assistance to lower-level professional staff on new or revised systems.
- Attends additional formal and informal training to develop the knowledge and technical computer skills required.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerate above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related field.
- Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a computer-based management information system.
Specialized Skills:
- Of the one (1) year experience, requires one (1) year of experience working with Web Based platforms, midrange platforms, operating systems, JAVA, XML, Informatica, SQL Server and DB2. Requires working knowledge of relational database design, object-oriented analysis and design and query analysis and optimization. Requires working knowledge of Web Based platforms, midrange platforms and operating systems; specifically, Windows Operating Systems, DB2, SQL Server, and JAVA.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience working with Web Based platforms, midrange platforms, operating systems, Windows Operating Systems, JAVA, XML, Informatica, SQL Server and DB2.
- Working knowledge of relational database design, object-oriented analysis and design and query analysis and optimization.
- One (1) year of professional experience with Elixir and Informatica products.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision.
- Working knowledge of TANF, SNAP and Medical Eligibility Systems.
- Ability to analyze and diagnose system issues and coordinate efforts to resolve.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with others.
