THE CITY OF WACO SEEKS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

• Network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.

• Knowledge of VoIP with on-premise and cloud systems operating in a hybrid model.
• Knowledge of carrier-grade high-density telephone systems (Cisco, Avaya) and IP Phones (Avaya, Cisco, Polycom).

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Under general supervision, provides multi-vendor system support, sustainable provisioning, and call routing configurations; and resolves system problems,

Minimum Qualifications:
Required:

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Three years of current technical support experience, including two years of VoIP experience with on-premise and cloud systems operating in a hybrid model OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
  Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and other professional IT certifications are desirable.

Preferred:

• Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and other professional IT certifications
• Experience with layer two and layer three wired and wireless data networks and knowledge of SIP-enabled services
