Infrastructure Release Engineer

The Infrastructure as Code (IaC) release engineer will manage, document, and enhance Panoramic Health’s software products from development through to production. You will oversee and ensure timely software releases for the organization and support the implementation process from development through release to production. Working as part of Panoramic Heath’s Infrastructure team, the IaC Release Engineer will support Panoramic Health’s data engineering team in the deployment of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and application code.

Responsibilities include:

  • As key member of infrastructure team you will provide IAC and application code deployment support for production, QA, development, and test environments.
  • Resolve incidents, problems affecting the operations/availability of high-profile production systems in Azure cloud.
  • Perform technical health checks for cloud platforms/environments prior to broader deployments.
  • Implement cloud-specific security policies, standards, and procedures e.g., Azure tenant management and configuration, ExpressRoute configuration, identify management and access control, firewall management, auditing and monitoring, security incident and event management, data protection (DLP, encryption), user and administrator account management, SSO, conditional access controls and password/key management.
  • Support cloud security analysis requests, recommendations, and configurations.
  • Support proof of concept and production deployments of cloud technologies.
  • Define and document processes and procedures related to deployment, migration, and general maintenance of Azure cloud.
  • Provide production Azure cloud support for incident response and problem management.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders as a subject matter expert on the Panoramic Health Azure environments.
  • May require some periodic day and overnight travel, non-business hour scheduled support or on-call rotation for incident response.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (strongly preferred), or 5+ years of experience in an Azure cloud admin/release engineer role with advanced, current related certifications.
  • 5-8 years of experience or equivalent knowledge in a release engineering role, but we are willing to invest in highly capable individuals with the right skills and attitude.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps /Azure DevOps Services or similar work-item tracking, Source Control, and Build/Release automation.
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining continuous build & deployment processes, including execution of automated unit and build verification tests.
  • Solid understanding of the security considerations of software build, release, and deployment aspects of SDLC.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and troubleshoot large integrated testing environments.
  • Expert in supporting Azure cloud platform and CI/CD technologies and processes: Azure Cloud Platform (including Azure CLI, Azure Container Service, and deployment tools), Azure Dev operations (ADO), Azure Release Management, and PowerShell.
  • In-depth experience developing and implementing automated build and deployment patterns on Terraform, Microsoft. Net, Azure PaaS, Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
  • Experience managing enterprise level source control systems, including Azure Code Repositories and Git.
  • Advanced release engineer experience, building Microsoft. Net and Terraform based products using Visual Studio.
  • Experience working with detailed UML technical design and business design requirements.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum and SAFe. The preferred candidate holds current certification(s) in one or more of these areas.
  • Use of analytical skills and experiences to investigate or escalate support issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in supporting and configuring Azure cloud resources.
  • Highly proficient with SQL database deployment and access management (desired, candidate differentiator).
  • Time management and prioritization necessary daily.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication in English are essential.
  • A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are expected.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, result-driven, and complex healthcare setting.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate timelines.
  • Capable of embracing unexpected change in direction or priority.
  • Highly motivated to solve problems; proven troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze problems by type and severity.

This role has a salary range of $124,710 to $142,142 and regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO).
