What you’ll do:
- Provide administrative oversight of injury and overdose prevention and response programming and activities.
- Develop partnerships with and provide technical assistance to stakeholders and communities working to reduce overdose deaths.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and represent the Department at internal and external partners meetings.
- Preparing contracts, grant applications, progress reports, and conducting contract monitoring.
- Assist with the identification and/or development of educational and communication resources and materials.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four or more years of professional experience in public health, mental health, environmental health, education, social services, public or business administration, health care, and/or health care administration; master’s degree preferred. In the absence of a degree, five plus years of relevant experience in the field will be considered.
- Experience developing and providing training and technical assistance.
- Experience in overdose prevention and response is highly desired.
- This position requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can build impactful partnerships and has excellent networking and communication skills as well as a visionary and effective communicator with innovative problem-solving and advanced critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience using technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
