Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
To provide support services to the United States Department of Justice. The incumbent serves as a Program Coordinator, providing assistance to the training teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field or a bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and tact and skill in persuading faculty and experts to comply with procedural requirements. Well-rounded knowledge of information technology applications to carry out assignments, generate reports, training materials for classroom learning and distance learning, and to troubleshoot common IT applications; Applications and systems include, for example, LearnDoJ, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SNAP , SharePoint and Turning Point. Skill in developing contacts to support the agency’s legal education activities and effectively and diplomatically deal with a broad range of persons including federal judges, senior department officials, United States Attorneys and others. General knowledge of protocol in dealing with senior staff and preparing for course presentations by senior staff. Knowledge of the procedures for safeguarding national security information.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of legal and related reference sources in agency manuals, reference systems, directives, issuance, precedent decisions, court decisions, and commercial legal publications to ensure highest level of support.
