Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager is responsible for managing and participating in all aspects of the Homecare divisions efforts to recruit qualified clients, support new clients with intake process and initiation of services, retain existing homecare clients and staff, and work collaboratively with those HR personnel responsible for recruiting new Homecare employees (HHAs). The Manager and team will develop/attend recruitment events (health fairs, senior centers, etc), screen clients to determine eligibility and collaborate with external payers and internal departments (HR, Marketing, Communications) to achieve Homecares growth goals. The Manager will work closely with Homecare and Agency leadership to develop this new team, establish goals and processes to achieve those goals. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Recruit clients (and where appropriate HHAs) that meet eligibility requirements, geographic focus, languages spoken, and payers accepted.
- Conduct and document a thorough screening process, including engaging with potential clients family members to gather information and coordinate care.
- Engage in building strong lasting business relationships with geographically appropriate external partners including: Medical facilities (hospitals, clinics), community services (food pantries, adult day / senior centers), long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living), religious sites, other recruiters, media and social media internet sites.
- Develop and distribute marketing materials including website/newgroup messages, flyers, posters, signs, banners, etc, with organizational information, opportunities and benefits to clients and potential employees.
- Lead and facilitate presentations to internal and external referral sources and audiences.
- Document and report on key performance indicators for the team, including leads, source of leads, new external partners, events attended, new clients, new client stability over time, etc.
- Lead or participate in cross-program meetings such as Quality Improvement (QI) committee meetings, case conferences, trainings, etc., and contributes to these meetings as required by the position and the team.
- Update job knowledge relevant to this position by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintain personal networks, participate in professional organizations.
- Other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage the Intake, Recruitment and Retention Team and Lead the team and directly conducts field-based recruitment efforts weekly.
- Collaborate closely with other program staff to facilitate their support of this team, including Care Coordinators, Social Workers and RNs.
- Work alongside other program directors/managers/supervisors to identify opportunities for improved outreach/recruitment activities/methods
- Identify avenues of collaboration with other Divisions to implement strategies that maximize impact
- Organize and/or represent RiseBoro during meetings, conferences, and public forums in order to provide framework and advance RiseBoros brand and mission
- Provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure the delivery of high performance, acting as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated coach
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and processes that clearly describe the work of the team such that all internal and external (payers, NYSDOH, etc) requirements and regulations are met.
- Establish team performance standards, milestones and goals in collaboration with program and agency leadership. Adjust goals as required by demands of program.
- Develop annual strategic marketing, recruitment and retention plan and support staff with achieving this plan.
- Advocate to achieve the goals of the team and the program by supporting clients, family members, team members and internal/external partners.
- Take full responsibility for the performance management of the team to ensure that quality and deadlines are achieved and maintained and that any issues are managed in line with RiseBoro policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ensure team are appropriately staffed at all times
- Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledgeable of homecare industry and business needs.
- Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, screening, interacting with people, supporting diverse communities, comfortable with public speaking, and professional communications.
- Experience in supervising or managing an intake, recruitment or retention teams, particularly high-volume / entry-level positions.
- Motivation, joy and energy to engage with new people through organizational partnerships and collaborations
- Projects a professional image at all times and is committed to the goals of the program and the agency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with health information systems preferred.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish preferred.
- Able to organize and manage complex projects and teams to achieve significant goals.
- Able to plan and implement independently and within a larger team, including taking initiative and actions to achieve the key performance indicators and goals of the team.
- Able to travel independently throughout NYC.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients, other staff and the facility information.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the homecare program, the agency and the team at all times.
- Strong collaborative approach and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to building a supportive work environment and maintain a positive attitude at the work place.
- Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities
- Have a demonstrated commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
