Responsibilities
Peraton seeks an Integrated Communications Lead to join the Corporate Communications & Engagement team in Reston, VA (hybrid work available). Reporting to the Director, Strategic Communications, this role is responsible for creating strategic, targeted, and engaging integrated business communications plans to increase marketing, communications, and government relations channel activities in support of key growth priorities. This outcome-based position requires the successful candidate to be an experienced advisor to cross-collaborative teams; interfacing with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders of all skillsets and experience levels, to deliberately establish communications strategies and ensure tactics are successfully implemented. This is a challenging, comprehensive, and integral role focuses on new business and organic growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Actively lead the effective strategic planning, project management, and activities associated with high-profile growth focus area(s) and key pursuits.
- Accountable for Integrated Business Communications (IBC) planning, acutely focused on development and calculated execution of objectives, strategies, and intentional outcomes of assigned portfolio.
- Strategic Communications expert, consultant, and generalist to internal stakeholders on Corporate Communications & Engagement organization solutions to support business growth.
- In conjunction with Corporate Communications & Engagement channel teams and Operations Manager, Strategic Communications; uses established policies and SOPs to design the enablement plans and configuration specifications for implementing streamlined integrated communications plans to maximize communications, marketing, and government relations activities with key B2G customers.
- Tightly engaged with functional partners within the Growth Organization, specifically those engaged in priority corporate captures (e.g., Capture Managers, Business Development Executives, etc.), participating in all stages of Peraton’s Business Acquisition Process inclusive of exploratory informational meetings, color team reviews, and where appropriate customer facing touchpoints, briefings, and conferences.
- Active participant in all reporting, meeting, and engagement activities for relevant portfolio; including (but not limited to) quarterly Integrated Business Communications (IBC) briefings to executive leadership and Corporate Communications & Engagement, Growth Organization, and Business unit leaders respectfully. Regular reporting on activities; depth and breadth of projects and respective scopes, achievements, and challenges.
- Close partnership with key stakeholders to apply a high degree of collaboration on all Corporate Communications campaigns, projects, and tasks within assigned portfolio.
- Use of and accountability for Peraton’s Corporate Communications & Engagement team and larger Growth Organizations tools to ensure data collections, meeting outcomes, action items, and general engagement alignment is seamless throughout organization.
- Proactively works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious. Solid understanding of what needs to be accomplished to successfully integrate communications, as only generally defined.
- Working understanding of Corporate Communications & Engagement organization’s policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
Required
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience leading integrated communications efforts, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
Desired
- Experience in government contracting, B2G marketing and communications, and/or growth organizations,
- Able to work under consultative direction toward long-range goals.
- Experience applying advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
- Experience using a range of communications, marketing, project management, and growth organization tools and platforms (e.g., Trello, Techno Mile, SharePoint, etc.) or similar.
- Experience working in cross-collaborative and distributed team environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with executives and colleagues.
- Experience in conflict resolution and moving of proverbial cheese.
- Thinks big and can bring ideas to fruition.
- Is motivated in mission-centric organizations.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
