Integration Project Manager

Responsibilities

This role will serve as part of the operations team helping to modernize and sustain the Defense Health Agency’s IT infrastructure to provide a standardized, robust, and highly available global infrastructure and enterprise core services. The Integration Project Manager will help develop strategies to transition of 360+ military treatment facilities into Service Provider roles, assisting with the adoption of this complex organizational change. They will drive Project Integration activities in the enterprise environment across all the Integrated Service Providers and manages the Integration effort from a project management practice and includes aligning the Integrator’s practices with the derived and expected value to the Military Health System mission.

The Integration Project Manager will plan, forecast, and develop reports, timelines, and manage project deliverables in accordance with agreed scope, budget, quality objectives using Six Sigma methodologies and value stream concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Military Health care business and the impact of the ecosystem on its ability to succeed.
  • Improve project performance by systematically removing operational waste reduce process variation.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress
  • Optimize the overall operation of the ecosystem services, managed service providers, and processes to create and increase value for the customer.
  • Collaborate with leadership regarding project milestones, implementation and meeting or exceeding timelines.
  • Prepare communication, status reports, and work-breakdown structures to identify gaps, project delays, and measure timelines.
  • Guide the program team to meet ongoing information needs regarding process improvement methodology.
  • Identify opportunities, define, and financially justify projects, manage project activities, track project status and results.
  • Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and the business strategy.
  • Directly support the Program Manager, Chief Operations Manager and Continual Service Improvement Manager to ensure that all Multi-sourcing Integrator programmatic level responsibilities (e. g., staffing, programmatic deliverables, monthly reporting, ad hoc requests, etc.) are completed in a timely, accurate, and quality manner.
  • Manage projects with well-defined scope, including documenting all daily work activities/priorities.
  • Provide project management support to the Project Manager, Chief Operations Manager and Continual Improvement Manager to identify gaps using data analysis.
  • Apply the “Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control framework to all projects to meet customer needs, reduce cost, and increase revenue.
  • Establish and manage relationships with customer subject matter experts and appropriate customer management, with an objective of maintaining and building the business.
  • Manage, store, and retrieve programmatic deliverables (e.g., monthly status/progress reports)
  • Work collaboratively in a complex environment and driving performance achievement and improvements.
  • Apply a data-driven mindset of service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Apply understanding of DoD program and risk management practices
  • Provide expertise on Lean Six Sigma tools techniques related to project and change management by eliminating waste and defects.
  • Identify Lean Six Sigma projects critical to achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Develop analytics, evaluate methodologies, conduct systematic internal reviews of projects.
  • Analyze project activity needs during the planning, developing, programming, administration, and operation of projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 relevant work experience and leadership in project management
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust government clearance
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology for business improvement
  • Exceptional ability to communicate across communities with exceptional written and oral communications skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt)
  • Leader in IT Project Management implementation and delivery
  • ITIL 4 certification (e.g., ITIL 4 Foundation Certified, Advanced ITIL 4)
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience in the Military Health environment

Target Salary Range

$104,000 – $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
