Intel Analyst

Overview

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking an Analyst with 3+ years of experience and significant Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) all-source Intelligence to support the Multi-Spectral Defense Electromagnetic Warfare System Support Activity, at Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Salary

$80,000.00 USD to $120,000.00 USD is the typical annual salary range for this position. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with and report to the Product Manager and Product Lead for MDS builds and other associated project requirements
  • Participate in contractor and/or government technical meetings (e.g., TIM/TEM, WGM) and milestone reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR), and provide written comments on technical documentation or information
  • Participate in project meetings (i.e., project battle rhythm)
  • Participate in Technical Review Boards (TRBs) to obtain fleet (end user) inputs on MDS development
  • Participate in Threat Coordination Meetings (TCMs) for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers to obtain fleet (end user) inputs on MDS development
  • Generate System Threat Lists (STL) used as the baseline for all related ELINT product deliverables. Note: Once the STL is created by the Threat Analyst, the Project Officer and Product Lead reviews and signs off the proposed list
  • Coordinate with other outside Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) support activities and weapon schools (e.g., Jacksonville for Counter Measure Dispenser (CMD), Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) for STL review) to ensure that what is being developed is going to work with other ASE systems and is of operational significance
  • Support aircraft flight tests, as required
  • Populate Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)/Test Sheets
  • Package Mission Data (Build 1)
  • Create Mission Data Set (MDS) design document detailing the programmed threats
  • Create MDS Quick Reference Guide (QRG)
  • Analyze and incorporate intelligence data for the creation of deliverables
  • Ensure all deliverables are built and distributed according to documented MDEWSSA SSEPG processes and procedures
  • Verify simulation files used during MDS development and testing and support MDS engineers (provide input to known intelligence gaps)
  • Investigate defects/discrepancies and document System Activity Reports (SARs) in the TACAIR Defect Management System (DMS) database
  • Provide training on the use of MDS development tools
  • Provide training briefings to system users concerning the intelligence data used for the development of deliverables
  • Engage in outside Intelligence Community (IC) activities and meetings to keep pace with the ever-changing intelligence environment and foster interactions with authoritative experts in the field

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge / Experience:

  • Analyst must have experience providing accurate and relevant intelligence support through comprehensive analysis of intelligence data and incorporation of the data for creation of various deliverables such as System Threat Lists (STL) and Mission Data Set (MDS) documentation
  • Analyst must understand the MDS Generation Process which includes understanding threat capabilities in specific theaters
  • Analyst must have a solid foundation of Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and all-source Intelligence
  • Analyst must have experience validating the intelligence data in the MDS for Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Analyst must have experience creating an operational test scenario that is ultimately provided to the engineer for laboratory testing

Education

BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant Associate’s Degree

Between 3 and 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description

Clearance

Condition of employment – The applicant must have and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
