Responsibilities
Considered industry renowned experts in a specialized field, i.e. signals, threat, intelligence, security, with distinguished careers in solving very complex problems. Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participates, as needed, in all phases of large complex programs with an emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of expertise to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined problems. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in supporting large projects related to the individual’s subject matter expertise. Incumbents all have extensive experience as technical leaders and senior Project Managers. Employees assigned to this job are very senior level individual contributors, but may have supervisory responsibilities for others’ work. Subject Matter Experts prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives. Assures the proper use of current or requested testing and documentation techniques. Subject Matter Experts produce and/or review documentation and reports reflecting extensive knowledge of areas as identified in the statement of work.
- Collaborates with Portfolio Managers.
- Supports the SOF Mission Capability Lead for directing the development of processes to facilitate continuous deployment of prototypes selected for fielding through rigorous certification, verification, training, and monitoring of near-term capability enhancements in collaboration with Mission Partners.
- Responsible for supporting and executing processes and activities to obtain system and platform initial operations (such as Authority to Operate (ATO)) approval from the Government.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 16+ years of experience or a Masters Degree and 14+ years of experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working at OSD (ASD/SO-LIC), Joint Staff (DDSO), and/or USSOCOM HQs.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
