Job Description
Summary
Provides professional interior design services for university facilities to meet client requests/needs.
Key Responsibilities
Create and prepare design drafts, color schemes and preliminary plans for interiors; select appropriate furniture and finishes for interior projects.
Prepare design using AutoCad.
Provide Cost estimates of interior design projects.
Provide professional interior design consultation and advisement to Campus administrators, including the chancellor, vice chancellor, deans, department chairs and directors.
Approve specifications for the purchase of equipment and materials involving design consideration.
Oversee work of outside contractors in the installation of equipment, flooring, furnishings, wall and window treatment, etc. for compliance with contract documents.
Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings; certify work performed by contractors is in compliance with contract documents; develop renderings and colored presentations of interior design packages.
Prepare and/or approve specifications and drawings suitable for public bidding.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Salary
Salary Range: $17.96 – $25.57 per hour
Grade: GGS 008
University Title: INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure may be required.
