Interior Designer 4-8 years

Overview:

HGA is an award winning architectural, engineering, interior design, and planning firm with a full-time opportunity in our Minneapolis office for a talented interior designer. In this position, you will collaborate with and be an integral part of the architectural and interior design team, supporting the development of the Interior Design efforts; performing all technical aspects of the interior design process from project setup through to construction administration; and assisting and participating in data gathering, planning and documentation.

In this role you will:

  • Degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 4-8 years of interior design experience
  • Fluent knowledge of Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and/or other related graphic software programs is expected.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
  • Experience in fast paced tenant improvement projects including fit planning, office amenity and common building spaces.
  • Thrives on working across disciplines and solving unique design challenges for on-call client relationships and a variety of project sizes and budgets.

You will need to have:

  • Works with clients to determine initial goals and programming requirements for the space to be designed by analyzing use of space, understanding of client’s business strategy, and implementation of strategic workplace design.
  • Collaborates with Architectural and Interior Design team to develop the interior design solutions for workplace projects ranging in size and budget.
  • Creates design solutions with enduring impact though original insight.
  • Prepares plans, sketches, or other visual aids to demonstrate designs to client.
  • Maintain building Revit plans, including life safety drawings and information, BOMA calculations, current suite layouts.
  • Research, selection, and specification of materials to support design goals and technical issues influencing interior design concept development.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and professionally with multidisciplinary team members. Works within project schedules to prioritize tasks and project costs while coordinating the completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion.

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $60,400 – $81,000
