Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is looking for Engineering Technologists to work with the new Chemical Management group. If you would like to help us build the foundation for chemical management at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho, this challenge is for you. Specific responsibilities include: requesting procurement of chemicals for work at NRF, assisting in and overseeing chemical Trade Storage Areas, managing the chemical check in/out process for consolidated Trade Storage Areas, performing required inspections of Trade Storage Areas, and interfacing with various groups and organizations to assist with determining their chemical needs. Chemical Coordinators also mentor Authorized Chemical Users in the correct use and storage of chemicals, accessing and understanding Safety Data Sheet information, and develop updates to the NRF Chemical Management Procedures and forms as necessary. Physical demands of this position include being able to lift >40lbs.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field.

Pay Range
$67,800 – $103,800 annually
