Framatome is seeking an Intern/Co-Op I&C Engineer for our office in Charlotte, NC. An exciting position for an engineering student looking to gain experience in the nuclear industry or the instrumentation and control industry participating in various project functions. Positions are for Spring and Summer of 2023

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing I&C solutions for nuclear plant areas. Develop and implement control solutions using various platforms and configurators.
  • Hardware and Electrical Design using SolidWorks and Autocad (primarily for mechanical and electrical co-op applicants)
  • Implement control strategies and Human Factors Interface Graphics for various projects
  • Support Testing of our solutions following written test procedures
  • Use of Cradle for Requirements Management and tracing compliance to our documents

Travel: No travel required

Required Experience

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering

  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

The following may be used to differentiate candidates who apply for this position:

  • Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
  • SolidWorks for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students

Our total rewards package

The range of base salary for the position is between $20 – $25 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
