The St. Louis Blues are seeking an intern to assist with community and fan development within the community development department. The intern will work closely with teams to enhance skills with real world experience. Tasks may include projects focused on fan engagement, youth hockey, community outreach, and auctions. The intern will learn practical application of fan engagement, data tracking, customer service and communication, event planning and activation as well as other community related skills.
This is a part-time, paid position working 20-29 hours per week.
November-April, 2023-24
Rate of pay is $12/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Respond to community requests/questions through emails and phone calls
• Coordinate charitable donation program, maintain donation database, respond to donation requests, and assist in all aspects of giving donations
• Assist with planning and execution of outreach activities and special events (Blues for Kids Casino Night and possible others)
• Attend and assist in coordinating community appearances (In the Library with Louie, school visits, hospital visits, etc.)
• Assist during game nights and postgame meet & greets
• Assists Community Development or other departments with related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled college level student
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
• Interest in professional sports focusing on fan development, youth programming, and non-profit fields
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Execute Fan Development Activations within the Greater St. Louis Area
• Strong ethical standards and sense of confidentiality
• Availability to work daytime, evening, and weekend hours including Blues Special Events
