Course of Study
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Marketing or MBA with a concentration in Marketing
Term
- 1 year in length [37.5 hours per week during the summer; ~20-25 hours per week during school year]
- Internship to begin end of May and end the following May
- Location – Subaru Headquarters in Camden, NJ
- $19 an hour (undergrad)
Qualifications
- Junior (or a Senior planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in the fall)
- Must be an active student for the entire length of internship
- Curriculum and/or work experience portray a dedication to the pursuit of a marketing career
Skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong written communications, presentation, and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Understanding of technical and digital marketing landscape
Responsibilities
- Participate in various planning sessions for national brand and local retailer (dealership) programs and communications
- Monthly trend reporting and analysis for Retailer Websites and In-Store Digital platforms
- Compile and maintain a monthly Field Marketing update presentation (PowerPoint) that captures new changes, enhancements, and developments with our Retail Websites, Certified Web Tools, and In-Store Digital technology programs
- Monitor and review the status of In-Store Digital platform uptime, and communicate any issues with the Subaru Field teams for quick resolution
- Assist with quality assurance (QA) process for digital content
- Support other reporting projects, audits, and ad-hoc reviews as needed
- Shadow various teams in Digital Marketing to broaden your understanding of the different roles and responsibilities
- Assist with Subaru vehicle model launches and updates for the upcoming model year across web platforms
- Supporting professionals and managers in the digital marketing area and will occasionally be required to manage projects independently and interact with partner agencies
- Weekly testing of brand website to ensure that all content is up-to-date and accurate
- Support daily App store reviews and Foresee customer feedback for the MySubaru programs
- Work closely with partner agencies, Subaru IT, and Subaru Digital Marketing teams to address and resolve technical and business issues
Summary
This position will provide experience and exposure to the Marketing Communications team at Subaru specifically in the area of Digital Marketing. The student will have exposure to daily departmental operations by supporting projects, participating in planning and executing meetings, and occasionally managing projects for various other Marketing groups.
