Intern – Procurement – Primoris Renewable Energy

POSITION SUMMARY:

This Procurement Intern is responsible for assisting the Procurement Team with research, data capturing, and processes while working closely with various team members to learn more about Procurement and our company.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Procurement Team with administrative duties.
  • Help the Procurement Team to ensure that all Procurement’s deliverables are completed, and deadlines met within his or her projects.
  • Assist with tracking Change Order logs, Accounts Receivables, Purchasing logs, and Equipment Logs
  • Attend and take minutes for weekly, monthly, and ad hoc meetings.
  • Work with Field Engineers and Timekeeper to ensure valid and accurate man hours are reported daily, accurate quantities, productivity, and planned percent complete.
  • Periodic travel to project sites may approved.
  • Assist with special reports, requests, analysis, subcontractor/EPC daily, weekly, monthly reports to ensure data accuracy, and/or other Site Manager miscellaneous day to day activities.
  • It is also an expectation that all Procurement Intern/s will look after and operate in the best interest of PSC.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year university pursuing a degree in engineering or finance.
  • Some educational or experience in Construction Management, Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or Project Management.

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with Excel, MS Office, and Document Control programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of project cost accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with the required federal and state codes for the project.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, able to work with direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, constant process improvement vigilance, and meet diligent deliverable deadlines.
