Reports To: Chief Business Integration Officer

The Internal Auditor must be organized with exceptional problem-solving skills, consistently deliver on a tight deadline, and have an outstanding aptitude for accounting principles and processes, math, strong IT and communication skills. This position requires critical thinking with a keen interest in improving the organization’s internal control structure, as well as strong presentation and report writing skills and well-developed and seasoned business acumen.
Essential Functions / Responsibility:
- Design and implement internal audit function for Nomad, using auditing standards and regulatory requirements and adhering to established auditing governance frameworks and procedures.
- Reviews internal processes, transactions, documentation, and systems to validate compliance, evaluate effectiveness, identify issues, and prepare reports and recommendations for remediation.
- Creation of reconciliation tools that allow for quicker identification of mistakes and swifter month, quarter, and year end close.
- Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in “solution” or project goal terms.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information related to Nomad’s internal
- Coordinate with external auditors on specific testing and reports performed as necessary.
- Assist in selection, deployment, and reporting design of new ERP system.
- Additional projects as discussed with the Chief Business Integration Officer.
Basic Knowledge Desired:
- Advanced accounting, cash handling, control procedures, invoicing, documentation, record keeping, and computer
- Possesses sound business knowledge and strong decision-making skills with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
- Computer and program knowledge; able to maneuver and operate successfully. (Examples: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, GAAP, ERP/MRP, E2, etc.)
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
Working Environment:
- The work environment is a partially outdoor environment. Depending upon the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60F and 100F but is typically around 70F.
- Fast-paced environment, open-concept office area.
- The employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided.
- All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas. The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, or related
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of general accounting (experience)
- Minimum 5 years of internal audit or process-driven work required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above
